We're a small, unusually senior team building marketplace infrastructure for the Middle East. If that sounds interesting, here's how to talk.

What we're building

Mint Souq is doing something specific: combining marketplace dynamics with regulated-finance rigour. Most classifieds let strangers exchange money on faith. We want to make every transaction in the region — from a AED 200 sofa to a AED 2 million villa deposit — work the same way: identity-verified, escrow-protected, dispute-resolvable.

The product surface is broad — search, listings, payments, KYC, fraud detection, voice AI, multi-country localisation — but the technical core is small. We move fast because the team is small.

That doesn't mean we're not hiring. The strongest candidates we've worked with reach out before there's a posting. If you think you'd be exceptional in any of the roles below, send us a note — we'll always make time.

Roles we expect to open in the next 6–12 months:

  • Senior backend engineer — PHP / MySQL / payments. Owns escrow infrastructure, fraud rules, third-party integrations.
  • Compliance officer — UAE-licensed, ideally with a background in financial-services KYC or AML. Builds and runs our verification + sanctions process.
  • Trust & safety analyst — Arabic + English fluency, comfortable making judgment calls on documents and disputes. Customer-facing.
  • Growth / partnerships lead — relationships with telcos, banks, and large dealer groups across the GCC. Direct sales experience essential.
  • Product designer — interaction design with a typography eye. Comfortable working in Arabic + English from day one.

How we work

  • Dubai HQ, hybrid. 3 days in office (Business Bay), 2 days remote. Some roles are fully remote within GCC time zones.
  • No bullshit ceremonies. We don't do daily standups. We ship and review.
  • Bilingual. Internal docs in English, customer-facing in both EN and AR. Arabic fluency is a strong plus for any role.
  • Compensation. Market-rate base + meaningful equity. We pay for talent, not seat-time.
